ok sometimes when it boots up the load bar takes a little longer to load and then when i get to windows the wireless is missing and the cardbus and lpt port have yellow exclamation points saying they could not start correctly. If I reboot then the bios load bar zips along as normal and when i get into windows everything is there and as it should be. Any ideas? This is on a fresh install of XP pro also.

32 bit diagnostics run fine and its running the latest bios

Maybe something is failing on the board?

Download the Dell Diagnostics and burn it onto a CD so that it is bootable. Then proceed to run the diagnostics to see if it turns up anything.

Edit:
Do you also have the latest BIOS running?

You could try opening it up and reseating all RAM and expansion cards. Maybe look in the service manual to see if there is some removable battery to reset the NVRAM on the board.
