Problem with Dell FP2001

OS: XP Home (5.1,build 2600)
BIOS: Phoenix AwardBIOS v6.00PG
DX: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Display Mode: 1600x1200 (32bit) (60Hz)
Driver: 6.14.0010.7801

The screen blinks black before refreshing to something new.

Examples:

I click a link on a web page and the screen will go black for half a second, then when the new page is ready it will appear.

I enter a new area in WoW and it will blink black.

I spin around really fast in a FPS, blink black.


It can sometimes never happen during a session, it can happen at the very beginning of a session, it can happen 2 hrs into a session, doesnt matter.

What do you think it is? And how can I fix it? Is this a video card problem or a monitor problem?

This does not happen all the time, which is weird.

My guess is gfx card, but I really don't know. It'd be helpful if you could swap out cards and see if the problem persists.

I thought 7801 were the latest...which do you suggest I upgrade to?
