Problem with crashes and bad 3d performance

Hello. I recently got some problems with my computer.

I remember it all started with that I thought the graphics card fan speed didn't go down as quick as it used to after playing games. The second strange thing that happened was that when I used two editors for a game, and I tried to start the game to try out my changes (I still got the editors running in the background when I started the game), I got a error message saying the graphics driver apparently stopped responding. This has happened a couple of times.

And now there's more serious problems:

For instance, I have bad (or worse) performance in more than one 3D game, and for instance when I played World of Warcraft the other day, the screen just went blank and the power button of the monitor started blinking, like if the graphics card had stopped responding. I could still hear the sound playing, but had no picture, and I had to reboot.

After rebooting, the computer wouldn't start at first, I heard three beeps. Same thing the next attempt, but then at the third attempt, the computer suddenly started up and went into windows.

Have had that problem with the graphics driver that had stopped responding in more games, like FEAR 3 (where I also have bad performance). And I have tried two different sets of graphics drivers, the first one was 260.something, and the one I use now is 275.33, and I have the same problems on both set of drivers.

My system setup: Windows 7 64-bit, 6 gb Corsair ddr3, Evga Geforce GTX 295, Corsair HX1000w psu, intel Core i7 920 cpu, Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard, integrated audio.

I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks. And sorry for the quite lengthy post 🙂

Might be a faulty PSU, do you have another one lying around you could switch it with? Also could be a faulty GPU, are either part under warranty?
