Hi. I have an old machine, and recently changed the ram in it. The ram that it currently has is Corsair CMX1024-3200C2 (2 sticks, 1gb each). The mobo is Asus P4P-800SE.

When I went into the Bios, the ram timings were configured by SPD, and in Pc Wizard, they read as:
CAS Latency (tCL) : 3 clocks @200 MHz
RAS to CAS (tRCD) : 3 clocks @200 MHz
RAS Precharge (tRP) : 3 clocks @200 MHz
Cycle Time (tRAS) : 8 clocks @200 MHz

I wanted to get them to 2-3-3-6 since that's what the memory can do. My previous ram's timings were 2-3-3-7. So I went into Bios, disabled configure by SPD, and entered my own timings (2-3-3-6). Once in Pc Wizard, it displayed my timings as 3-3-3-8 (same as above) again. I rebooted, went into Bios again, and changed them to 2-3-3-7. Once again, Pc Wizard showed them as 3-3-3-8.

How can I get my timings down to 2-3-3-6 or at least 2-3-3-7? In all of the cases above, my Max Burst Length was set to 8.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you can set it, up the memory voltage to 1.9.
Use CPU-Z to check the SPD timings and what the memory is actually running at.
