Problem with Company of Heroes

My newly bought copy of Company of Heroes refuses to run on my PC. It installs fine but when I try to run it, I get past all the company flash screens to the "Loading" screen and it dumps into windows every time. Has anyone else had this problem with this game? The demo ran great on my computer, and so does the Warhammer demo that comes on the product CD. I've re-installed four times and this still happens. My setup is:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+
BFG 7900GTX OC
2 MB Ram
Asus A8N SLI MB

None of the help files or FAQ in the readme file or at the THQ website offers any help on this. All my drivers are up to date. I have no idea what's going on here. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe that's why?

Kidding aside, I have similar setup as yours, but less powerful and it runs fine. Make sure you update your graphic driver. Also install the new CoH patch and see if that helps.

Is it submitting an error report to Relic? When you first launch CoH it doesn't actually start the 3d engine, it does that when you load a game. You're somehow getting hung before the engine even loads I think. Are your sound card drivers installed properly in the dxdialog?

When I played the demo today, I tried to start the tutorial and it did the same thing.

I have a AMD Dual core with an ATI X1800XT. I restarted the demo and it hasn't done it since. I think I might have changed some visual options in the game before it dumped me to the desktop.
