problem with changing password in window

i have a problem, hopefully someone can help.

I am trying to change my password (password for screensaver and login is same). i try to upgrade my password on my pc (win xp) but for some reason it doesnt allow me to change my pw, error "current password typed is incorrect". but this is the same pw i use to login to my computer and when the screensaver comes on, and it works.

is this problem related to my ram upgrade? I originally have 256mb ram then added another stick of 512mb ram. not sure if i had to remove ram and reinstall? any advice?

nvm....i restarted the computer and it is now allowing me to change my password and my current password work.
