Problem with Catalyst 4.11

Not sure if this is related, but I just had a simliar problem with Cat 4.12 beta. When I start the PC, you would suddently see vertical black lines (but with no error messages of any kind). After powering down and rebooting, my system was OK though. I reinstalled the drivers again, Cleaned everything with DriverCleaner and I would still get the same problem. I even reinstalled my Nvidia 5.10 drivers, to make sure that the agp files where ok, again I would see the black lines.

AMD Athlon XP T-Bred B DLT3C 1700+ @ 2.3GHZ (1.775v) 400FSB = 3200+
Abit NF7-S V.2 (nForce2-U400)
Corsair TwinX XMS 3200LL 512MB @ 2-3-2-6 (2.6v)
Sapphire Radeon 9500 Pro 128MB
Antec TrueBlue 480W

Edit: vertical black lines look like a soccer jersey

After I defragmented my hard drive I get this files as one of those that cannot be defragmented:

125 8 MB \ATI\SUPPORT\wxp-w2k-catalyst-8-071-041026a-018719c\CPanel\DATA2.CAB

Is this the reason why I get these black lines
