Hello guys...I have een having some prolems with my recently purchased geforce4 vga cards.I installed them and when i used the OEM driver, it didnt work well or the microsoft signed driver either...

when running windows or so, it is ok.... but when running games requiring 3d effects, namely UT: where i get red shades and sometimes, some lines and choppy looking things unreadable text etc...

halo looks choppy...
i am downloading nvidia's new drivers as i type but, has anyone else had some experience with these cards...

they are biostar geforce4 mx440-8x 64 MB DDR

mobo: biostar m7 viz ver 8

cpu sempron 2400+

256 MB DDR pc3200

now the onboard video works fine but when the new vga cards were installed, it screwed up

please help...

Try driver cleaner to get rid of all the old video card drivers.
It kinda sounds like your card is hosed though...

hosed as in the card is junk. It may have a memory or core problem that is causing the artifacts you are seeing. If new drivers and cleaning out the old ones doesnt work. Try RivaTuner and drop the clock speed on the memory and gpu. If that fixes it (or not) you have a defective card and need to return or RMA it.
