Ok so I first get my gfx card from newegg put it into the machine...goes on...it POSTS, but on the bios screen there are these blue lines going down the screen spread apart about an inch, then it goes to the windows screen same thing...then after that my monitor says "Out of range" so it goes out of frequency. I try loading it in safe mode...same deal.

So I call BFG they ask for my specs, tell me 1 I didn't have enough power previously...and 2 the card is defective send it in for repair or replacement. Did that, got my replacement card today...put it in, same issue.

Except now I have a huge power supply...so it can't be anything related to that...anyone got some ideas?

Specs are below...

*Edit and to boot I can't get through to BFG tech support...because I dial the number...and no ring. I've tried this on like 2 land lines and 1 cell phone...quite annoyed with BFG right now*

Moving to an Antec P160 case & Thermaltake Pure silent 560 watt PSU anytime soon...

you have the thermaltake in your sig now?

Anyway, are you using DVI or VGA? Is the card fully inserted?

*edit*

Nevermind, you updated your signature.

Card is fully inserted because the AGP clip locks onto the card which it wouldn't do if it wasn't fully inserted.

For this round I only plugged into DVI so far, but the first time I got the card I plugged into both VGA and DVI.

hopefully this is stupid question, but you do have the molex power connector plugged into the card, right?

Yes I do have the additional power cable connected, also just tested the VGA port and I get the same problem as I do with the DVI.

Well right now...BFG is sending me another card...apparently they didn't replace it and didn't repair the problem. So they are advance RMAing me another card, at least this time I will know they didn't just send me back the same card as I will have the problematic card already.

I really hope they get it right this time...its getting annoying.

Wow, that's really crappy tech support. But I would wager that a lot of other companies do the same exact thing to cut costs.

Yup, certainly is...but at least I am not going to OC this thing and it should be fine for a long time once it works, in which case I won't have to use their tech support :).
