I posted this in video, but no responses...

Im having a strange problem with Dscaler and my TV Wonder Ve on Windows XP. For about a month DScalser worked great, but all of a sudden it started giving me trouble. Im using DScaler because ATI's software is absolutely horrendous.

When i close Dscaler the sound continues playing no matter what. On the Ctrl+Alt+Del menu it doesnt show DScaler as an active program.

The only way to turn the sound off it to shut down which is a real pain.

I tried downloading it again and re-installing it, but nothing seems to work. It worked fine for a while, so i cant understand how this could have started. I haven't installed anything recently other than some Windows security updates.

Please Help and thanks a lot!

Try deleting the Dscaler.ini file in the Dscaler folder and set everything up again. You can also try double clicking on the speaker icon in your system tray and muting the audio line your tv card is plugged into. You could also try this, goto the Hardware menu in Dscaler, pick Audio-Mixer setup, check use mixer, make sure your soundcard is selected and that Play Control is selected, where is says Tuner Line change it whatever your tv tuner is plugged into to, this may fix it.

Thank You very much...the hardware options worked, but only if you de-select the "reset changes" checkbox at the bottom of the hardware menu.

Thanks again,
