Problem with Asus A7V133 and 3Com 3C905B-TXNM network card

I just installed a 3Com 3C905-TXNM network card on an Asus A7V133 mobo. My problem is this: WinXP detects the card at startup but returns an error (data invalid, cannot install card). I know the card is okay since it runs fine on my old pentium 2-300. I tried putting it in different pci slots to no avail.

Any ideas on what seems to be the problem? Thanks!

P.S. I posted this also on the motherboard forum, since I am not sure which forum does my problem fall under.
