Problem with ASPI drivers on my Plextor

Hey you gurus out there, quick question. I have a Plextor 12x/10x/32x IDE, and I checked my ASPI version and I don't have the latest drivers, so I downloaded the newest ones from Adaptec, but it said I could not update them since I had no Adaptec products detected in my system.. Is there anything I can do? Please PM me if possible..
 
You can either get FoceASPI from here. Or you can trick ASPI into thinking there's an Adaptec installed in your system by installing a Adaptec driver in your system update ASPI and then remove the Adaptec driver. But go with the link I gave you it's much easier for a newbie though.
 
hehe thanks.. not really a newbie but at work right now and have a proxy blocking most sites so couldn't research it.. thanks for the suggestions!
