Problem with AOL!!!

At home I have AOL when I log on to the computer it's okay.. but when I go to log off.. it does, but within a few min. or so it log back on. I don't know why it does that? Can someone help me? Do you think it is a virus or something bad??? Please help!!!!!
 
Do you have some other program running that required connection to the internet? For example, in Outlook Express there is a setting TOOLS - OPTIONS - GENERAL - IF MY COMPUTER IS NOT CONNECTED AT THIS TIME (scroll box),

or in AVG antivirus, CONTROL CENTER - UPDATE MANAGER - (checkbox) ALLOW SCHEDULED UPDATE - (checkbox) USER CONFIRMS DIALUP CONNECTION

You get the idea
