Problem with an Asus P5KC, e6550, 2gb ram, etc...

I just bought an Asus P5KC along with an Intel Core 2 Duo e6550 as well as a case and a better fan/heatsink combo. I'm using my Geforce 8800 GTX and my old PC4200 RAM as well as my Deskstar 250gb SATA HD and a Pioneer DVD-RW drive.

Anyway, I plugged everything up, turned it on and I got a constant beep.. I noticed my GeForce's fan was not spinning, so I unplugged the PCI-e power cable from the card and realized that I had put it in upside-down. Okay, I unplugged everything, and turned it back on. Now, it just sits there. No beeps, nothing. Nothing shows up on the screen whatsoever, and my keyboard doesn't seem to function (can't enable/disable caps lock, scroll lock, etc) but I can open and close my DVD drive.

I've tried going back over all of the connections to make sure everything's connected properly and it seems like it is. At this point I'm stuck. Anyone have any suggestions? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone know what might cause the computer to not POST at all, or beep? I've tried clearing the CMOS, taking the battery out, etc. and I still haven't had any luck, it still just hangs as soon as I turn it on. I was curious.. I noticed that the motherboard says it supports 667, 800, 1066, and 1333 RAM. Well.. My RAM is PC4200 (500). Could that be a problem, or shouldn't the motherboard beep letting me know there's a conflict with the RAM?

I'm getting really frustrated.. I had bought an abit in9 32x-MAX a few weeks ago and the board crapped out on me (started giving me a 9.0 diagnostics code which I could never figure out). I took that board back and got this one hoping that I'd have better luck, but I at least got into Windows a few times with the abit board before it went screwy. With this, I can't get anywhere. The place where I bought the motherboards is across town and it's almost getting to the point where I'm going to take this back and just forget upgrading at all. Any suggestions?

What PSU are you using? It might be possible that you have fried the card, the mobo or the PSU. Do you have another GPU and PSU you can use?
