AMD 1.4 with 384MB on a MSI k7t Turbo2 running XP SP2.
The board is a non name identical to this one. ALI 5271 chip.
Saw a USB2.0/1394 card for a good price locally. I have USB 1, no USB2 and no 1394, so i thought it would be a nice upgrade.
I have been using a Linksys WUSB54G Wireless-G and an Ipod on my USB1 with no problems... other than speed of course.
I installed the card and it used the Microsoft default drivers. I can plug the linksys into any port and it works, same with the Ipod. If I plug both directly into the card neither works. If I plug in both to a NON-powered 2.0 hub, and then the hub to card... it all works. If I plug in 1 to the hub and the other directly to the card, nothing works.
I have updated the drivers with 2 different ALI drivers, and also tried another PCI slot. Same problems.
I didn't have any other USB to try with me at the time. Will see if same problems occur with other devices... although I suspect its will.
