I assembled a computer around an Albatron PX865PE PRO back last August and have had nothing but problems with it and I was wondering if others had similar experiences. I used 2 SCSI hardrives and a SCSI DVD drive I had from a previous computer. And I added a 120 gig EIDE drive and a IDE CD Burner. Everything worked fine for about a month then it started hanging during POST. It would stop on a message saying detecting IDE drives and sometimes wait there for an hour before it would finish booting. I checked the Albatron site and found a BIOS update that said, among other things, that it fixed a hang on IDE devices. Sure enough it fixed the hang but the way it fixed it was just to just bypass the IDE devices. Since my operating system was on one of the SCSI drives I used the computer most of the time without the IDE devices. I should add that both IDE devices were setup as primary on separate channels and I tried swapping cables and channels but the only time it would ever work was if I rebooted after it had been running for a while. Kind of like it had to get really warm before it would recognize the IDE devices. Finally it got to where it would not recognize them at all so last week I tore it down and sent the motherboard back to Albatron. I am still waiting to hear back from them. Anybody else experienced anything like this?
Thanks,
Dan
