Problem with Agent newsreader

I am trying to download an attachment. It is a rar file. When I click save attachment, instead of saving it Agent opens it like a message and just displays a bunch of garbage text. Is there a way to get Agent to save this file instead of just opening it like that? If not, is there another free or shareware program that works with rar files?

Assuming the message body is complete, all you need to do to save a file is highlight it and hit the "A" button or right-click and choose "save attachment". Agent will then decode the binary from one of its .dat files and place it in the directory you have selected. I have been using Agent for years and it has always saved attachments properly. The only time Agent will show garbage text is when you try to view an imcomplete message. If you are using Free Agent, not only do you have to have all parts, you must make sure that all sections of that message are joined.
