Problem with Add Remove Programs

Running XP Home. When I open the Control Panel/ Add or Remove Programs, of the 61 programs that appear there only 13 have the "Remove" Tab. The rest, for instance Quicktime do not have uninstall capabilities in the program. These only show "Used" and "Last used On". What could have happened and is there a way to restore the "Remove" option tab? I ran system restore for about two weeks back but that did not change anything.
I ran an updated Malwarebytes and it didn't find anything.

This link shows a fix, but my impression is that it will have to be done program by program.

Another thing that occurred to me is, are you an administrator on this computer? You're not working under a limited account are you?

Typing 'remove tab in xp missing' in Google comes up with a lot of hits. You might want to dig through there to see if something hits home. I got the link above from there.

Thanks VinDSL I have had CCleaner for quite a while, but only used it for clean up. I just didn't think about its remove capability. Duh
Thanks bommerang, I Googled it but I guess I didn't use the right search words. I will use that for an over-all fix, but will Use CCleaner for the immediate needs. Thanks again.
