problem with accessing websites

just starting today i have been noticing a problem that I cannot access websites anymore. It only works on websites that I've just been to (ie in cache). zMUD(a program to play MUD games) is working fine, and so is AIM, but MSN doesn't.

It doesn't work for a while, and then works again, seemingly randomly. I am using the latest version of zonealarm pro on winxp sp2, and i have the windows security center and firewall switched off.

I had a relative that had MSN ISP service. It was hard to believe how totally lousy thier service was in every respect. When they changed ISP all problems disappeared.

Since the problem comes and goes, it doesn't sound like a malware attack.
