Hi,

I'm having a problem putting together a new system. Here are the specs

Abit BE6-2 (newest revision w/ HPT3770 controller chip)
Cumine FCPGA 600E cB0
Iwill Slotket 2
PC133 128MB RAM
Diamond ViperII AGP Card
blah blah blah

the problem is that the motherboard won't post with thse components installed. I tried the slotket/cpu combination in an older Abit BE6-2 motherboard and it worked fine. I tried the RAM in the other mobo and it worked fine. I even tried using a different video card on the newer Abit board, and no post.

I took the mobo to the store, and the guy put an SECC2 Pentium II chip and some ram and whatever, and the board posted. so he said it worked and i had to take it back. Anybody have any ideas or experience with this setup? any help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

are you posting it out of the case? is your power supply adequate? If all else fails try screaming at it. I have been doing alot of screaming at abit be6-2's lately , ( it works with 1 out of 3 btw) :) , try out of the case without kb plugged in. Or clear the cmos and try again. also i have noticed that those abit's are real picky about slotkets, perhaps try a different one to post.
