Problem With A8N-E

Hi,
First Excuse me for my english.

Configuration:

Box : Antec TX-1050B (alim Smart Power 500W)
MotherBoard : Asus A8n-e (Socket 939) Nvidia DDR400
Processor : Athlon 3500+
Graphic card : ASUS EN-7800GT 256Mo
Corsair Value twin (2x512) PC32000
Hard Disk Maxtor 160 Go SATA 7200tr/mn
Graveur DVD LG

Problem :
I have installed this configuration this week
At the first boot of windows installation (after the first phase of the windows installation) the problem begin.
The installation stop.
I reboot manually and the install begin again.
I continue to the end of the installation.

Windows run correctly. No problem.
But when i reboot from windows the system block.
I must stop the system with the buton and rerun.
the second time Windows run correctly.
and again again again the same phenomene when i reboot (regular)

When window stop he stop during the first page or just before.
I have test an other hard disk but same phenomene
I have disconnect the other card. i have test just with Motherboerd, hard disk, and memory and graphic card but same phenomene.

If someone know this problem please HelpMeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

bad sata cable? properly connected it to the HD? Try running memtest (doesn't require an OS).

No.
I have test memtest.
I have test with an other cable --> sa
I have use an other hard disk (sata) --> same problèm
I have test with an ide drive and that run correctly.

The problem come from SATA.
I think it's in the bios but where ?

Are you loading the SATA drivers at the F6 prompt?

maxtor sata drives and n-force 4 sata does not work together, there is a compatibility issue and i don't think there is a fix for it yet. you can search on google for the documentation of the problem.

I think it's that.
I have change my sata drive with a ide drive and it's better.
