problem with A7V and 2 128mb crucial pc133 case 2 sticks

both sticks of ram are pc 133 case 2 from crucial. one stick is single sided the other is double sided.

Seperatly the memory works fine, but when both sticks are instaled the spd reports a cas latency of 3 and i get blue screens like crazy. This is at its worst when the dimms populate slots 0 and 1. when i put the single sided dimm in slot 0 and the double sided dimm in slot 2 leaving slot 1 open it will work for a little while before it freaks out.
I can not even boot into windows 2000 after booting once with both sticks in. nor can i reinstall win2k with both sticks installed. win98 and win me will both install but eventualy run into trouble. Any ideas?

I had the exact same problem... Crucial told me that there may be timing problems with the single sided and dual sided DIMM's. I sent the one back I had purchased and exchanged it. They still have plenty of the Dual sided DIMM's. The 8T and the 16T on the end of the part number distinguish between the two. Here is a link to a thread I posted here .

called crucial up, excelent customer service as always. Tech support had the same conclusion and issued an rma number no problems. I decided the replacement should be a double sided 256 since they droped prices, so a 256 is on the way at a 37 dollar price diffrence and the 128 is going back. thanx for the info.
