Problem with a new hard drive

I just installed a new Western Digital Hard drive. Windows starts, does its thing with the drivers and such but the new drive wont show up in "My Computer" nor can I save anything to it, it wont show it. It is in the device manager and it says that its working write, it just wont let me get to it.
