Only 250 Watt PS on an Athlon 1.3 GHz? Try an AMD approved 330 W or better PS.

is your tv card next to your sound card by anychance? Probably both sound card, and tv tuner are fighting for resources from the same PCI bus. Try and move the ATI card to a different PCI slot.

Maybe try running a different TV app?

Dscaler is a great TV viewing app that is freeware. You can pick up the latest version here. Make sure to get version 3.0.2. Set your tuner to Phillips NTSC (if you are in North America) and give it a try.

MaxPC had major problems with it, too. It's one of the few pieces of hardware to win a "2" rating. However, MaxPC had better luck with it than you're having.

Try searching over at theMURC, there might be a few people in those forums who have had the same problem.

no, i was having mucho problems and had to reinstall the SAME drivers 3x (7.1) i don't know what clicked but third install worked fine. also i am running xp and it needed video update to dx 8.1 to install the video update i had to run it in win2k compat mode and the program diddn't get to install all files (crashed half way through) but apparently finished enuf files to install the dx componenents necessary for the application to work. btw system running it on is system in rig (with win xp)

HEY EVERY BODY!!!

I found the trouble!!! (or a other alternative)

I have testing the same system with a EPOX 8K7A(chipset AMD).

I don t reinstall windows. Just uninstall ALI drivers and install AMD drivers. And the test pass!!! The system don t freeze!!!

I m not sure at 100% but i think it s a incompatibility between ALI and the ATI TV Wonder PCI or ALI's drivers and TV card. But i m repeat i don t sure at 100% of this affirmation. And i don t have the time to install a beta driver. The costumer wait her computer. =(

I wait a E mail by ATI for this information.

Thx every body!!!
