No..
9500np = 4 pipe
9500 pro = 8 pipe
9700np/pro = 8 pipe
9500np's are usually 9700's that had defective pipelines and therefore could not be sold as 9700's. 9500 pros though, are the exact same chip as 9700's. They're on a different pcb though and only have a 128 bit bus instead of the 256 bit on a 9700.

A bit of a wild assumption I'd say.... Sure, I concede that most parts like this start off as speed binded or defect binded parts but more times than not, demand overcomes binded parts so 100% functionals end up being rebadged as the lesser. That's why MANY people were able to acheive the desired result with this mod.
