When I built this computer I origionally had 2x512 Kingston Valueram installed on this. Recently I decided to upgrade it to 2 gig by buying another two of that type of ram. So far it is a disaster.

Most windows programs will crash given time saying "Memory cannot be "read"" citing addresses. Also memtest86 gives all sorts of errors.

I have no idea where to start, i know before I had some problems with AIM giving me this same error whenever I quit the program but nothing to this extent.

AMD 3000+ XP
Soyo Dragon 2 KT-880 (origional release)
2 hard drives 120 and 60 gig.
DVD Burner
etc....

Any help is appreciated.

edit: Also I ran memtest86 and every test failed after the 2nd one.

edit2: Someone in another topic gave a suggestion to not use the automatic setting for ram timings, i however have no idea what to put in this.... here are the options when I put it on manual:
CAS
Bank Interweave (2 way/4 way/disabled)
Trp
Tras
Trad
Trfc
Trrd
CMD Rate
Bus Selection (single/dual channel)

What settings would work for these? I literally have no idea.

Sounds like one of your RAM modules is dead, try taking turns with RAM to see which one it is.

It seems that it works so long as I have only 2 ram sticks in the computer, if I load 4 in their thats when it crashs. Any combination of 2 will work but not 4.
