Someone broke the ceramic power connector to the compressor. I decided to open up the clutch and try to gain access to the coil and just hardwire it back together. Unfortunately, I was not able to remove the clutch. I removed the nut at the center but something else is holding the clutch on the shaft I just don't know what. Anyone have a clue?

Also, the pulley spins freely by hand but I can't rotate the clutch by hand. I used leverage to rotate the thing and it required a bit of force. Is this normal or is the bearing seized?

You will need an a/c clutch puller to get it off, they are free loaner tools from autozone etc. Its normal to be tough to spin because its a compresor and its compressing gas/fluid when you do it.

I wouldnt buy one I would just run up to autozone or the like and get one of there free loaner tools and do it. bring your truck/a/c compressor with you so they can try out which one fits.
