Problem w/my ASUS K7V

Hi,
I just recently purchased the K7V mobo for my athlon 600. i tried to bring my system up by first only installing my cpu, memory, cd, hard drive and video card, but everytime i start my comp it gives me continuous long beeping noises. The manual says that it is a DRAM problem but my memory has worked fine in the past ( i just upgraded vid card and mobo). Any help is appreciated. thanks.

What brand,size(MB),how many modules? Athlon systems require higher quality RAM than other systems. If you have more than one module try just one then the other if it doesn't work you will probably need to get better RAM. I have 192MB of Mushkin CAS 2 RAM and it was Athlon tested. www.mushkin.com I'm sure other people will have helpful suggestions but that is what comes to mind right now. Good Luck!

Thanks for your comments. I have some very old DIMMs that i was previously using w/my system (2x32MB) and one PC100 nanya 64 mb which i purchased somewhat recently. I have tried using just the pc100, other combos, etc. but still no success. Again, thanks for the comments.
