Problem w/ Asus CUSL2 Mobo and Keyboard

I have an asus cusl2 mobo with a celeron 700, 256mb ram, TNT2 Ultra video,
and SB128 PCI soundcard. Running with a MS-Optical USB Mouse. My
keyboard is a PS2 Dell equivilant of the MS-Natural Elite keyboard.
What is happening is that all of a sudden, anywhere from 5min to hours,
my keyboard completely stops responding. I can unplug it and replug it
and it start working again. This is getting really old and sucks when
playing online games. Any thoughts suggestions?

I been encountering the same problem. I have 2 of these guys, one made in taiwan, the other made in china. Same revision 1.02, same bios, same everything except the adaptec scsi & agp video. Same ram/hd/cd,etc. I have a feeling it's the optical mouse but I'm not sure. It's a weird problem, where did you get your mobo from ?

Try going into the bios, Advanced Tab, and set the PS/2 Mouse Function Control to "auto" from the default "enabled". Good Luck.

I've updated my prior post. The problem I kept getting was that WinMe Plug n Play added a P/S2 mouse and my MS Mouse w/Intellieye. Resulted in a irq conflict. Setting it to "auto" fixed it. I don't know if it's related to your situation. Good Luck.

It seems to work better with it in auto.. i have the machine on for about 48 hours now... but it's weird, my other cusl2 with it on enable doesn't have the problem.. but its a non intellieye mouse..
