OK, I give up. Up until a week ago, my work computer was doing just fine w/ acrobat files. No probs at all.

Now, I can't open hardly anything. I a browser windows it's a no-go. If I d/l the file, then open Acrobat I can usually look at it, but if I just double-click on the file, I get similar results.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled 4.0 (my favorite) then tried 5.0, then 5.0.5 & they all do the same thing. Here at work I'm using Win98 so can't truly upgrade (v7 won't even install) so I'm just frustrated for the moment!!) Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! :|

TIA for any advice!!

EDIT

OK, nevermind!! Grrrrrrrrr again!! Had to google a little deeper than I'd hoped, but the fix-all for this is to simply uninstall the current version........THEN.........go into Windows Explorer & delete all the folders that are under C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe (in my case I had 4.0/5.0 and 6.0....waaaay too much). Then restart your computer & reinstall whatever version you really want & all should be good. BTW, this also took care of my ACRORD32 error problem I found later.

Hope this helps someone else. Grrrrrrrrr :)
