Problem using VIVO feature of my VGA

Hello people, I just wanna digitalize a VHS, and I read tutorials, its everything fine, BUT I have a problem.
My VIVO VGA is a MSI TI4200, and after installing This WDM Drivers my video capturing software detects it succesfully.
The problem is the following:
I connect the VCR, with a composite cable, from the Video OUT to the Video IN (in the Video Card through the VIVO connector), and the audio out to the blue plug in my sound blaster live 5.1. I tried with Ulead Video Stuido 10, IuVCR, and Windows Movie Maker. All of them detects my Video Card VIVO capabilities, but when i hit PLAY on the VCR, in the preview, nothing happens, just a black screen. Asi If I wasnt connected the Cable (0of course I did).
Could you tell me what i did wrong?
Please. its for a job I have to do.
Thanks a Lot.

Are you sure that you have your VCR set to output on the correct connection? Sometimes a VCR will have the standard COAX, and two composites. You'll have to toggle between the inputs to get a display.

I connected the Composite Output of the VCR to the Composite Input of my VIVO VGA.
is it correct?

That's fine. Now you'll have to toggle your VCR so that it is displaying the picture on your composite output.
