Problem using scheduled tasks

In Windows XP, I want to schedule some tasks. That's fine, except it needs the user to have a password.

However I want the PC to boot up and go straight into Windows and when the time comes to execute the task(s)

Is there a way of either:

1. Creating a task which doesn't have to have a password or
2. Setting XP up that it will log in to a user account and run Windows without having to enter a password?

If you provide an appropriate windows user account and password then the system will log the process on to a new window station even if you are logged off. It won't, obviously, start the system up from power-down, although I don't doubt that could be arranged simply enough. It should wake it up from any standby mode, I think. Need a more expert opinion on that one. I only hibernate my monitor here at home, so I don't have an issue with my scheduled tasks.

Thanks - I've enabled automatic login to a specific username and password which will work fine for me. It also works from standby. Now if something could power the computer on that would be brilliant, but that's not possible is it?

Some motherboards can be programmed to auto-start the computer at a specified time, so look around in your BIOS.
