Problem using netflix (possible software related?)

Hello,
I have an annoying problem with my netflix account, and was hoping someone here might have a suggestion or two that may help me fix it.

I am running windows 2000 pro, fully updated as well as IE 6.0.2800 & windows media player 9, and when I view my netflix pages and try to click on any movie trailers instead of showing me the trailers my entire browser just closes on me.

I have norton antivirus (fully updated and have scanned full pc), as well as spybot which I have updated and run too, I wrote to netflix about it and got a canned response about reloading windows media player.

I even tried that (reloaded mediaplayer), yet no luck, on my laptop these trailers run fine so i know its not netflix, its some setting or software thing on my end, I wondered if norton or spybot has caught and immunized something that causes that mediaplayer to close on its own (thinking its trying to take over or something?)

I even went in and reduced my IE settings to minimum across the board, restarted pc and yet still same situation (browser closes once I click on any of the links to show me a trailer), I have even tried the dialup link instead of the broadband 100 or 300 links, (I have comcast hispeed btw), but no matter which link i try the browser just closes once I click it.

Heck I dunno but it would be nice to be able to click on a trailer off their page and be able to view it (without the browser totally closing on me) the pc itself runs fast and smooth in most other respects, just don't know what else to do or try to get this working...

Downloaded and installed Firefox, opened netflix, tried to view a trailer (of a few different movies) and the browser closes just like IE6 did, so it has to be some weird windows media player issue or something???

Or possibly something that spybot caught on a scan and it now thinks the mediaplayer is trying to execute something and closes it on me?

Will be going thru the mediaplayer menus trying to find something that might fix this, as of yet no resolve,

Bill :(

Dunno if this clue would help or not, but when I put the mouse over the link to watch video clips I see on the bottom of the browser window it says

Javascript:(0); (on my main pc that has the problem viewing clips)

I did try this on my wifes pc too (which DOES work for playing the clips) and it says the same thing, so I doubt its the reason but heck i dunno figured I would post this just in case it was a clue to what maybe going on.
