problem turning on d-40. anyone else have this problem?

ok so everytime after i turn on my camera and try to turn it back on like 5 minutes later. i can't turn it back on. It's wierd, because if i remove the batteries and put in the same batteries than it starts working again. Another odd thing is when i open the camera to turn it on, i can see the battery life on top and the # of pictures left, but the lens doesnt open up and i can't take any pictures. if anybody knows how to solve this problem, please help.

Hmm..


It might be something with the sliding lens cover. Maybe it's not opening all the way. ???

hmm.. u mean on the manufacturer's part? because this has happen to me every time i use it.
