Problem to launch Black & White, need help.

I have problem to launch Black & White. I install/reinstall it several times, each time I try to launch it, my machine hangs. Is this because of the internet connection? I have a home network, and behind a router. I am so frustrated and tired for not be able to play this game, please help. BTW, I did use the original CD.🙁:|
 
does it go to a white screen and just sit there? if so you very well might need to download the opengl driver they used to develop the game. its the same one you would have to install if you were to play AMA.unfortunately the co that developed this driver didnt make a win2k version and my old voodoo banshee card doesnt have good enough win2k reference drivers to enable me to play BW or ALICE! :/ if youre using win98, try downloading and installing it and see what happens.

I've seen some people mention a safedisk problem that can be eliminated by getting a crack for the executable.
