At school, we all get our own network space. We can put anything we want on it up to 2gb. It is where our messages from our e-mail accounts are stored and also anything for our webpages. Here is the question. I have outlook express set up so that it downloads and removes the messages from the server. However, I mapped the drive from a computer lab today while I was at work and noticed that Outlook Express had created its own folder. I opened it up and all the .dbx files were in there for my mailbox. There was about 9mb worth of messages in the folder. I thought that was strange since I told it to download the files to my hard drive, and I know that that folder exists as well.
The reason, I'm interested in this is that last year my computer messed up and became unbootable and I ended up losing most of my mail that was over a year old. So I'm curious if the messages that are in the network space are just copies of what is currently in outlook express of if they are all the messages I've received since I've had an account here. Does anyone know?
