I'm having problem with my 9800GT 1GB in windows. It's not recognized as an nvidia card for some reason in xp. XP sees it as a 9800GT in hardware profile but under Display->Advance->Adapter.... all fields are unknown.

I can set the resolution all the way to 1900 x 1200.

It's a G92 55nm card.

Problem w/ mobo? (ECS G31T-M v1.0)

I'm suspecting the bios is the culprit. Anyone has the bios for this card?

Update: just re-installed xp... same problem.

Update: win 7 beta can't complete installation.

Update: Problem Solved. It was a bad bios. Found another bios for the same card and it's working now.

Anyone looking for a EVGA 9800GT 1GB (55nm) bios, here you go:

Yes. Installed couple times and tested w/ my 6600GT.

Device Manager is showing it as a 9800GT.

msinfo32 and dxdiag say it's using vga.sys.
