Problem Sharing in Windows 2003

I have given "Everyone" permission to list directories and read under the securities tab of the directory, also I have shared it under the sharing tab w/ permissions to everyone w/ read access.

But when someone is try'n to access it, it keeps requiring a password....why? And how can allow anyone to read w/o authentication.

Because the person you are trying to log on to the share as doesn't have a domain account on the server perhaps?
