Problem setting up permissions for domain users

I'm a little new to this active directory stuff and I'm sure there's just something really simple I'm missing.

Create a group to give access to a folder to only certain domain users. I created a group under "users", then added all the users into that group. Then I created the shared folder with administrators and the name of the group I created as the users of that share.

And I just can't seem to get access to the share that way. I can get access if I add the users to the administrator group, but not to the group I created. Anyone know why this is?

Thanks a bunch.

*** Be sure you are adding permissions to both the files/folder AND the share. ***

Typically you will add a broad group to the share. Put "domain users" = change permissions for instance. You then set the more restrictive permissions that you truly want on the file and folder level.
