Problem Setting Up DSL Connection

I recently formatted my entire HD and reinstalled Win98SE. I'm having problems setting up my DSL, I have no clue what's wrong. Everything appears to be setup right. I have the ip,subnet mask,gateway, and dns all entered in all the right protocols, clients, adapters are installed. I'm really not that computer savvy anyone out there who can offer any suggestions or ideas?
 
contact your provider and get them to send you the instructions they use to set it up, you probably have missed something very minor but critical...
