Problem SCSI Drive

Hiya all im new here 😀 I wonder if anyone could help me with a probem scsi drive? I am running XP Pro. Whilst booting it stops after listing PCI device list and says "DISK BOOT FAILURE , INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" I have tried using partition magic on the drive but it seems to me its not detecting the drive. I would like to format the drive but cant manage to do that until i can get the pc to detect it.......Any ideas would be welcome .........Thanks

I had the same problem, but to answer need to know...do you have other HD in your rig? Are they non-SCSI? I currently have my OS on SCSI, and everything else on SATA. What setup are you using?

no it is the only drive on the system at the moment but saying that i have 2 ide drives which im tempted to use instead of the 120 gig sata that it wont detect.Would it be of any benefit if i did this ? As you can probably guess i am a bit of a novice trying his best to learn
