Problem running RC5 and SETI at once??

I've been running SETI and RC5 at the same time for more than 2months 24/7,
but recently, i've been experiencing lockups when i try to run both of them.

Wonder why??? Since i have no problems for so long and it happen to me now.

by the way, the lockups happenned in WinME, then i try in my Win2k and no such problem in Win2k

Is it my WinME problem?? do i need to do a clean install??

I felt that WinME is not a very stable OS compare to Win2k

by the way, i have no problem when running only one of them.

i am oc'ing my chip but i can run both of them fine in Win2k

Did you recently install anything else? Upgrade any driver? What was changed? Clients version?

If absolutely nothing was changed, then consider temperature and operating environment.

Just a guess, but I would say it is WinME. I recently upgraded one machine to ME and have had nothing but problems since.

My personal conclusion=WinME sucks

If you kept the 98files and can revert back to it, do it.
If you gotta reinstall go for 98 or 2k.

/me wonders where the 1st service pack for ME is?

I'm running ME on 4 machines with no probs including my proxy. All are 24/7, 3 are on Seti & 1 is on Rc5. My proxy is running SetiQ, VNC, proxy software, SetiSpy & of course the seti client. All of the machines have been running for 3 weeks (since the last power outage) without ever missing a beat. Before that they had been running for over a month (since the previous power outage). The only time any of them have gone down has been due to power outages.🙂
