This is win2k, on my Bp6 dually rig.
I have this problem running HL.
I installed in, and when I tried to run it, it gives me a popup box that tells me that there was an error, and that I'd need to restart the game.
Whenever I try to restart the game, it gives me the same popup box.
So I uninstalled HL, installed DX8, and reinstalled HL, and I get the same problem.
The funny part is that this problem didnt happen before I flashed my bios/reinstalled Win2k....but I doubt that's the problem.
LMK what you guys think.
My system:
BP6 dual 366's @ 550
Asus tnt-2 pro (6.31 Det3 drivers)
Intel pro100+
SB 64AWE (no problems in DX8)
256mb ram
Quantum AS HD
Asus 50x cdrom
300 watt PS
