i posted this problem on dec 18th.i still need help.when i turn the power on the fans power up then there is a long beep and then the power shuts down.all the connections are correct per a7v133 manual. as advised by anandtech members i tried shorting out the cmos. i used a paperclip and also tried a screwdriver but the same problem occurs when i power up.i'am using enermax 350 power supply. i don't know what to do next besides throw out the motherboard? 🙁

Did you plug your cpu fan to "CPU_FAN" or "F_FAN"??? If you connect your cpu fan to "F_FAN" instead of "CPU_FAN", your cpu fan is still working, but your BIOS doesn't think so, and this leads to a long beep then shuts down. I tried this before, plugging to wrong connector and same result as yours, then I read the layout in the manual and fixed it. So if you are still confused, read the user manual and find the page stating the layout of your motherboard. (Oh, by the way, mine is A7V not A7V 133, but the layout is almost exact same.) You may think all the connections are fine as I did, but CPU_FAN and F_FAN are so close and having same look and color may confuse you.

Or, you may try borrowing a stick of RAM from your friend and try again?? (Don't know why sometimes, but ASUS board usually hates some RAM)

If both methods failed, then try the power supply, although it is not likely your power supply's problem as it is a one long beep.

These may not help you, but just some of my ideas.
