Problem opening my e-mail account in Outlook Express 5

When i try to open outlook express 5, a new dialog box opens up writing "Please enter your username and password for the following server. Log on, server (where server is my email pop server), and beneath that it writes the user name and needs from me to write the password". I haven't set any options to ask me for a password everytime i open outlook express. I am connected to the internet through a network. My operating system is Windows 98 SE. Any help?

sometimes Outlook Express forgets that you have it saved, or the server doesn't take the password and asks again.
