problem on putting video on my TV

Senior member
I have a MSI 8820 Geforce 2 GTS 32mB
and it has a S-video output, i was trying to connnect it on my tv ( an old one, but has teh A/V support)...so i bought the converter from Radioshack (S-video to Composite Video)

Hooked up my cpu with the S-video cable to the converter to the AV cable to a coupler (cause the cable wasn't long enough) to the another AV cable to the TV...

I have no image, but sound works great??? what did i do wrong??? i am assuming that i have to unlock the Video output of my MSI card? or something as i used to do with my old ATI rage card?? anyone gotz clues on my issue 🙁

Sometimes you have to have the TV video plugged in and turned on when you boot the computer, you may have to enable the TV out function in the "Advanced Properties" screen (right-click the desktop, select the tab on the far right, lower right corner or lower middle of the screen should be an "Advanced" tab).

If it's a laptop, you may have to turn on the "TV out" in the BIOS/setup screen, and use a hot-key combination to switch to the TV out.

FWIW
