I like this nVidia 750i mobo but I'm stuck using Microsoft's lousy PATA IDE drivers from 2001 and my hard-drive is stuck in UDMA mode 2. Is there anything I can do to update these drivers?

Make sure that you use the 80-wire IDE cable.

If you use the 40-wire cable, often supplied with the CD/DVD drives, you will be stuck with the lower transfer speeds.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the MS ide drivers. In fact they are far more compatible than 3rd-party drivers when it comes to things like CD-burning.
