I boosted my FSB in the soft bios to 133. When I tried to boot Windows XP though, I got an error saying there was a corrupt config .dll file or some such thing. I switched it back and my computer booted normally. What hoops do I need to jump through to get this to work?

I had to increase my voltage on my 1.6a from 1.5v to 1.525v to get it stable when I overclocked it to 133mhz FSB.

I had the same message as you did when Windows loaded at 1.5v.

Ok, I tried raising voltage to 1.525. At the voltage, I got a screen that said press CTRL+ALT+B to start MBA. I dunno what MBA is but I pressed CTRL+ALT+B anyway, and nothing happened. Tried it at 1.550 and I got the "corrupt config/dll file message" again. Same thing at 1.575. Dunno if it's a good idea to go any higher than that. Any other ideas? How do I adjust my memory speed or timings? What should they be at?

Give us some specs!!!

Motherboard model

Ram...What type and what brand....

What the heck is a soft bios??? Do you mena when you hit <dek> at bootup and you go into a blue screen of options??? Don't even tell me you are running MSI and any of its crappy ocing programs...Avoid that stuff like the plague as well as any software based ocing....

Ram should be at 1:1 ratio meaning fsb in this case 133 the ram is running 133x2 (for ddr) for 266mhz...The timings should be spd but may set timings to manual cas 2.5.....

Albatron PX845PEV Pro 845PE mobo, 512 MB Crucial PC2100 RAM, 400 Watt A+ Power Supply. Does that give anyone any other ideas?

Yep you better have the ratio set to 1:1 or it may be your memory speed is too high for that pc2100...My old crucial pc2100 could not do 333mhz....

So go into bios at bootup and in the same sub menu as the cpu fsb speed the memory speed setting should be there...make sure it is 1:1 for now....

Then go into advanced chipset and there should be the ram timings...set to spd and it should read the specs off of the ram and set timings accordingly...
