Problem Networking with Switch

There are 3 of us Networking the rogers highspeed we got today. One of my friends cannot connect to the internet. After 'helping' me over the phone, rogers said they weren't trained with swtiches and could not help any further. The port he is connected to, the light is amber instead of our green. The amber apparently means his is a 10mbps connection whereas ours are 100. The computers that are working have similar mobos with onboard network connections. The one that isnt working is a dell.... Is there anyway to switch his connection to 100mbps...or would that even solve anything. any help would be very much appreciated.

Also, we were networked fine and playing games with each other, just the internet wont work...

How many public IP's does your ISP give you? With the switch, you would need one for each PC, so I'm guessing they gave you two??
