I apologize if this is a tired topic, but I cannot figure this simple problem out. In my home network I have a laptop and a desktop connected through a router. I have a shared folder directory on both of them to easily transfer files between the two. I formatted the desktop yesterday and while it still connects to the laptop's shared folder, the laptop cannot connect to the desktop now. I set both shared directories up the same way, and created a user account on both machines for the other to use to log in with.
I thought that it might be a firewall issue with my desktop, so I disabled any firewalls, antivirus, spyware monitors, etc and it still won't connect. Does anyone have any recommentations or advice? Worst case I can just copy files on the laptop to it's shared directory and then connect from the desktop and copy them over but that is kinda annoying. I like to have the laptop in another room and connect to the desktop to access files. I appreciate any help, Thanks!
EDIT - Both computers are running WinXP Pro with SP2
Edit - I must have misspelled the password on the desktop's user account. After resetting it, all works fine.
